Meet the RMT team

Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are regulated health professionals requiring 2 to 3 years of training and over 2,200 hours to acquire certification from a recognized school. Each of our RMTs holds a Certificate of Registration from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and adheres to the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.

Ann Starr

Ann is a dedicated and accomplished Registered Massage Therapist with additional certification as a myofascial instructor and practitioner. She founded A Natural Alternative in 1995 and has grown the practice to five therapists.

One of Ann's specialties is myofascial release, which she incorporates into her practice to help realign her clients' posture and free restricted tissue.

Outside the clinic Ann is an active camper, cyclist and hiker, and is the mother of three.

Kathryn Schneider

Kathryn Schneider is a highly experienced RMT with over 25 years of practice working with a broad range of people, from infants and the elderly to those with chronic illness and elite athletes.

A graduate of the Canadian College of Osteopathy, her doctoral thesis focused on manual osteopathic treatment and pelvic floor dysfunction in women.

Kathryn's osteopathic training extends her approach well beyond conventional massage, addressing movement patterns and chronic conditions that respond to integrated manual therapy.

Kristin Mills

Kristin holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Brock University (2008) and graduated as an RMT from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2010.

She concentrates on back and shoulder massage, but gains fulfilment through any treatment that can improve her client's quality of life.

Her kinesiology background means she brings a strong understanding of movement mechanics to every session, whether you're recovering from a sports injury or managing repetitive strain from desk work.

Hannah Prange

A 2023 graduate of Fanshawe College, Hannah specializes in RAPID Neurofascial Reset (RAPID NFR), an evidence-based manual therapy technique designed to quickly and effectively eliminate pain by working with the nervous system.

She also practices trigger point therapy, cupping and Indian head massage, blending treatment-focused and relaxation approaches to meet each client's specific needs.

Hannah takes a holistic view: she believes the best outcomes come from listening carefully and adapting the session as she works.

Jo Martin

Head and neckStress reliefPain management

Jo brings almost two decades of experience as a personal support worker and labour support doula to her massage practice. That background shapes how she listens, adapts and cares for each person who comes in.

She focuses on head, neck and shoulder work and is skilled at pain management and stress relief, drawing on active listening and genuine empathy to create a treatment plan specifically for each client.

Jo's approach is warm and attentive, and her clients consistently note feeling heard and well cared for from the first appointment.
